NOMA ESCAPES 2026 GROUP TRIPS T&Cs
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
By submitting any payment to, or attending any trip with NOMA Escapes, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you & NOMA Escapes Ltd.
Where elements of a trip is booked via Colletts Travel (our fulfilment partner), Colletts Travel's own Terms & Conditions also apply. In the event of any conflict between the two sets of terms, NOMA Escapes' T&Cs overrides, supersedes, and takes precedence in all matters relating to payments, deposits, refunds, cancellations, and amendments.
1. WHO WE ARE
NOMA Escapes Ltd (referred to throughout as 'NOMA', 'we', 'us', or 'our') is a business, registered in Scotland, with three strands - events, trips & community. These T&C’s refer to our group trips. We also have T&Cs relating to our app membership & UK events where applicable.
NOMA Escapes is solely responsible for:
Trip planning, itinerary design, and curation
Pricing decisions and payment collection
Group management, hosting, and all guest communications
Marketing and promotion of all trips and events
Where applicable, trip elements (such as accommodation, and excursions) are booked through Colletts Travel Ltd, via NOMA's 'We Galavant Club' affiliation.
In these cases:
Colletts Travel Ltd acts as the fulfilment partner and tour operator only
Colletts Travel is responsible for booking with third-party suppliers, issuing confirmations, and providing ATOL protection where a flight is included in the booking
‘We Galavant’ is not a trip organiser or seller — it is the agency affiliation through which NOMA Escapes accesses Colletts Travel's systems
Not all trips, or all elements are booked via Colletts Travel.
2. WHO CAN BOOK
All NOMA Escapes experiences are exclusively open for women aged 21 or over (unless otherwise stated on the specific trip / event listing). By booking, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
NOMA reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking where eligibility requirements are not met, without refund.
3. TRIP PRICING & ROOM TYPES
All trip prices are per person and based on double, or twin-share accommodation unless otherwise stated.
Solo Room
Single occupancy rooms are available at a supplement and subject to availability. This cannot always be guaranteed and must be requested at the time of booking.
Prices may vary depending on room type, availability, and time of booking. The price displayed at the time you submit payment is the price that applies to your booking.
4. DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & ORGANISER FEE
4.1 Deposit Structure
A fixed deposit is required to secure your place on any NOMA trip. The deposit amount for each trip is stated on the individual trip booking page and is made up of two components:

The portion passed to Colletts Travel or other suppliers to secure accommodation, activities, and bookings on your behalf.
Organiser Fee
A fixed contribution toward the time NOMA Escapes has invested in planning, researching, designing the itinerary, communicating with suppliers, and managing the group. This fee is non-refundable in all circumstances.
Why we charge an Organiser Fee (included in your deposit, and incorporated into your overall price)
NOMA Escapes group trips are carefully & extensively researched, planned, booked, managed, and then hosted by a trip host. Significant time is invested in each trip, even long before anyone boards a plane — from supplier research, safety research, venue negotiations, to group coordination, itinerary design, admin, advertising etc. The Organiser Fee recognises this work. It is included in your trip price however, is allocated separate from, and in addition to, any external supplier deposits, and is non-refundable regardless of when, or why any cancellation occurs.
4.2 Balance Payment
The remaining balance of your trip cost (if you have paid a deposit) is due by the date stated on your booking confirmation.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking without refund. In this event, your deposit (including the Organiser Fee) will be retained and no refund will be issued. Late payment fees may also apply.
4.3 Payment Method
All payments are processed securely using payment links. By making payment, you confirm that all funds your end are lawfully authorised and that you are the cardholder, account holder or authorised user of the account. NOMA Escapes will not be liable for any issues arising from unauthorised or fraudulent use of payment methods.
4.4 Late Bookings
If you book within 90 days of the trip departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking. No deposit option is available at this stage.
5. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Please read this section carefully before booking. All cancellation terms apply from the moment your deposit/initial payment is received.
5.1 Cancellation by You
All deposit payments made to NOMA Escapes are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-amendable, regardless of the reason for cancellation. Any additional payments on top of the deposit amount are subject to cancellation charges and timescales, outlined in our “cancellation & refunds” policy document found in your trip documents.
Cancellation by you, for any reason, includes, but is not limited to:
Personal illness, injury, or medical issues
Change of mind, or personal circumstances
Work commitments, or life changes
Bereavement, or family emergencies
Relationship breakdown
Failure to obtain a visa, ESTA, or have valid travel documents
Flight cancellation, delay, or missed departure
Travel disruption of any kind
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover. See Section 9.
5.2 Cancellation by NOMA Escapes
NOMA Escapes reserves the right to cancel a trip in the following circumstances:
Safety or legal issues which make the trip impossible or inadvisable to proceed
Supplier failure or force majeure events (see Section 14)
The trip does not reach the minimum number of participants required to proceed
If NOMA Escapes cancels the trip, you will be offered either:
A full refund of all supplier-related payments made; OR
The option to transfer your booking to a future NOMA trip of equal or greater value
Important: The Organiser Fee component of your deposit is non-refundable even where NOMA Escapes cancels the trip, as this compensates for planning work already completed. In exceptional circumstances, NOMA Escapes may at its absolute discretion choose to offer a partial credit toward a future trip.
Flights and any other travel arrangements booked independently by you, are outside NOMA's control and in event of trip cancellation, will not be refunded by NOMA Escapes. Travel insurance is mandatory.
5.3 Colletts Travel Cancellation Charges
Where your trip is booked via Colletts Travel and qualifies as a Colletts Travel Package Holiday (i.e. includes a flight booked through Colletts), Colletts Travel's own cancellation charges also apply to the supplier portion of your booking.
6. ITINERARY CHANGES
Group travel requires flexibility. NOMA Escapes reserves the right to amend, rearrange, or substitute elements of the itinerary where necessary due to weather, safety concerns, supplier availability, or other circumstances outside our control. You will be notified as soon as practicable of any material changes. No refunds will be issued for adjustments that remain within the scope of the advertised trip experience.
7. TRAVEL INSURANCE (MANDATORY)
Comprehensive personal travel insurance is mandatory for all NOMA trip participants. You must hold a valid policy before your trip departs.
Your policy must cover as a minimum:
Trip cancellation and curtailment
Medical conditions, treatment and emergency hospitalisation
Emergency repatriation
Lost, stolen, or damaged baggage
Travel delay, disruption, and missed departure
Any adventure or physical activities included in the itinerary
Death
If requested, you must provide NOMA Escapes with your policy provider name, policy number, and the insurer's emergency contact number, along with your Next of Kin details (see Section 8).
Failure to hold valid insurance does not entitle you to a refund if you are unable to travel. It is a mandatory condition of booking with us, however, if you choose to travel without adequate insurance, you do so entirely at your own risk.
8. NEXT OF KIN (NOK)
Before departure, you are required to provide your NOMA trip host with the following details for your nominated Next of Kin:
Full name
Relationship to you
Contact telephone number
Email address
Any relevant health notes, allergies, or medical conditions you wish to disclose
This information is held strictly for emergency use only throughout the trip. It will not be stored beyond the trip or shared with any third party other than emergency services or local authorities, if required.
PASSPORTS, VISAS & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You are solely responsible for holding a valid passport, and meeting all entry, transit, and visa requirements for your destination(s). NOMA Escapes accepts no responsibility for issues arising from incorrect, invalid, or missing documentation.
Although this is solely your responsibility, each NOMA trip includes an “Important Information” section (accessible via your itinerary link at any time) setting out entry requirements and any actions you must complete and we are always happy to assist you if required. By booking, you confirm you have read and will comply with these requirements.
Failure to obtain correct and/or valid documentation, approvals, or registrations is never grounds for a refund. The trip will still go ahead without you if you fail to comply with a country’s entry requirements.
10. FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS
Unless explicitly stated in your trip inclusions, you are responsible for booking and managing your own return flights to the trip destination.
NOMA Escapes may provide suggested flights for coordination purposes only. Any suggested flights are not a booking, and do not form part of your agreement with NOMA.
Airport transfers: Where stated in the itinerary, NOMA will coordinate a transfer from the arrival airport for guests arriving on the recommended flights. Guests arriving on different flights or at significantly different times may need to arrange their own transport at their own expense. If you have to make your own arrangements this will be outlined in your itinerary before booking, and we will assist you with these arrangements if required.
NOMA Escapes is not liable for missed flights, delays, cancellations, or any associated costs.
11. HEALTH, FITNESS & MEDICAL CONDITIONS
By booking, you confirm you are in good health, and physically capable of participating in the activities included in the trip. Many NOMA trips involve walking, physical activities, and time on your feet.
Disclosure of medical conditions, mobility issues, allergies, dietary requirements, medication needs, or mental health considerations is not mandatory, but is encouraged where relevant to your safety and comfort.
Any disclosures will be treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.
Allergies & Dietary Requirements: You must disclose known allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking. NOMA will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate these but cannot guarantee that all third-party suppliers will do so. You are responsible for carrying a translated allergy or medical information card where relevant.
If you choose to opt out of any activity for any reason, you are absolutely free to do so without judgement.
You may be required to sign a liability waiver for adventure activities. Failure to sign will mean you won't be booked onto these activities without refund.
12. BEHAVIOUR & GROUP CONDUCT
NOMA Escapes creates a safe, empowering, and inclusive environment. All participants & hosts are expected to treat fellow guests, hosts, and third parties with respect at all times.
NOMA Escapes reserves the right to remove any host, or, participant from a trip or event — without refund — if their behaviour:
Endangers the safety or wellbeing of themselves or others
Is disruptive, aggressive, or harassing
Involves illegal activities
Negatively impacts the experience of the wider group
Removal from a trip also constitutes removal from the NOMA community app. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
13. MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY CONSENT
By attending a NOMA group trip, you consent to photos and videos being taken and potentially used by NOMA Escapes for marketing purposes, including on social media, the website, and in email campaigns.
If you do not wish to appear in any media content, you must notify NOMA Escapes in writing before the trip begins. Written notification can be sent to hello@nomaescapes.com.
14. FORCE MAJEURE
NOMA Escapes is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or disruptions caused by events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather, flooding, fire, pandemics, strikes, war, terrorist activity, government travel restrictions, airport or airspace closures, supplier failure, airline schedule changes or cancellations, or FCO advisories against travel.
No compensation will be due in such circumstances. Where Colletts Travel is involved, their force majeure provisions (Section A, Clause 13 of their T&Cs) also apply.
15. LIABILITY
NOMA Escapes is not liable for:
Personal injury, illness, or death occurring during the trip
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
Delays, cancellations, or disruption caused by airlines, or other transport providers
Actions or omissions of third-party suppliers (hotels, activity providers, restaurants)
Entry refusal by border control, or participant failure to meet entry requirements
Any loss or expense arising from your failure to hold valid travel insurance
Where Colletts Travel is involved and the trip qualifies as a Colletts Travel Package Holiday, Colletts Travel assumes responsibility as the Package Organiser under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. NOMA's liability in relation to the supplier-delivered elements of such trips is limited accordingly.
16. COMMUNICATION
By booking onto a group trip, you agree to regularly monitor official NOMA communication channels (including emails, tern traveller app, and the NOMA community app group chat) before, and during the trip. NOMA Escapes will not be liable for issues arising from your failure to do so.
Please ensure all contact details provided to NOMA are accurate and kept up to date.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any dispute shall first be referred to mediation or arbitration before court proceedings are commenced. You may bring legal proceedings in the Scottish courts, at your election.
18. NOMA ESCAPES’ HOSTS (Community Volunteers)
Role and status: Each NOMA Escapes trip or event is assigned a host. Except for Caitlin (NOMA Escapes’ Founder & travel agent), all “hosts” are community volunteers and are not employees, agents, travel advisors, licensed local guides, or qualified instructors. They facilitate group coordination and a positive experience; they do not provide professional, travel, legal, medical, safety, or technical guidance, or instruction.
Training and oversight: Volunteer hosts receive onboarding and guidance from NOMA Escapes. NOMA assesses host suitability and allocates hosts to appropriate trips/events. Host allocations may be changed at NOMA’s discretion for any trip at any time.
Conduct and boundaries: Hosts are expected to uphold NOMA’s standards (see Behaviour & Group Conduct and Community Guidelines). Hosts must not hold themselves out as employees, tour leaders with professional qualifications, or duty-of-care providers beyond reasonable peer support.
Reporting concerns: Any feedback, or concerns about a host’s conduct, suitability, or performance should be reported immediately to hello@nomaescapes.com We take all reports seriously and will review promptly.
Feedback welcome: NOMA values constructive feedback about hosts, and hosting arrangements. If a hosting match doesn’t feel right, please tell us at hello@nomaescapes.com so we can improve future assignments.
Age and backgrounds: Hosts are women aged 21+, from varied backgrounds, and most have their own full time jobs out-with NOMA.
Liability: As volunteer facilitators, hosts are not responsible for your personal safety, belongings, decisions, or outcomes.
Participation in activities remains voluntary and at your own risk. NOMA’s liability terms apply (see Liability).

You will obtain valid travel insurance and provide us with NOK details when requested
You accept full responsibility for your own flight bookings, & meeting all passport, visa, and entry requirements for the destination
You understand itinerary changes may occur and accept this flexibility
You agree to behave respectfully within the group at all times
You join the trip voluntarily and at your own risk
Where Colletts Travel T&Cs apply, you have read and agree to those also.
