NOMA Escapes LTD 2026 Cancellation & Refund Policy

In addition to our T&Cs specific to events, group trips & app memberships, we have compiled a cancellation & refund policy. 

NOMA Escapes invests significant time, money, and resources into planning every trip and event — often months in advance, working with various suppliers and businesses to do so. 

This cancellation policy for events, trips, and app memberships exists to protect both participants & members (clear expectations) and NOMA Escapes (covering our time and supplier commitments) in the event of cancellation.

PART 1: NOMA GROUP TRIPS (International Group Travel)

1.1 Participant Cancellation
If you need to cancel your place on a NOMA group trip, all deposit payments are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-amendable in all circumstances. Each trip deposit is clearly outlined before booking. No exceptions are made for any circumstance, including, but not limited to, illness, injury, bereavement, job changes, change of mind, relationship breakdown, failure to obtain travel documents, flight cancellations, or any other personal or external circumstances. Your travel insurance must cover these scenarios.

1.2 Colletts Travel Cancellation Charges (where applicable)
Where elements of your trip are booked through Colletts Travel, their booking T&Cs also apply. However, all matters relating to deposits, cancellations, and amendments are superseded by NOMA Escapes Trip T&Cs.
Cancellation charges if YOU cancel your space on the trip:
More than 120 days before departure: Loss of deposit only & organiser fee
120–100 days before departure: 50% of total trip price
100–90 days before departure: 60% of total trip price
90 days or less before departure: 100% of total trip price

1.3 The Organiser Fee — How It Works
Each trip deposit includes a non-refundable Organiser Fee built in. This fee is non-refundable in all circumstances — including where NOMA Escapes cancels the trip — as it compensates us for time already spent researching, planning, and coordinating. The exact amount will be determined for each trip on a trip by trip basis, depending on the hours spent planning, researching, booking, and admin for that trip.

1.4 NOMA Cancellation of a Trip
If NOMA Escapes cancels a trip, participants will be offered:
A full refund (minus Organiser Fee); or
A full credit transfer (including organiser fee) to a future NOMA trip of equal or greater value
The Organiser Fee is built into your non-refundable deposit, and is non-refundable in all cancellation circumstances. In exceptional cases, NOMA may at its absolute discretion offer a partial credit of their organiser fee, toward a future trip. Flights and independently booked travel arrangements are not the responsibility of NOMA Escapes and will not be refunded by NOMA in the event of cancellation. 

1.5 Trip Cancelled Due to Low Numbers
NOMA Escapes reserves the right to cancel a trip if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In this case, participants will receive a refund of all monies paid (minus the Organiser Fee). Notification will be given as early as possible and no later than:
80 days before departure for trips lasting more than 3 days
10 days before departure for trips lasting less than 3 days

1.6 Force Majeure Cancellation
Where a trip is cancelled due to force majeure (natural disaster, pandemic, war, government travel restrictions, flight cancellations/reschedules, FCO advisory, etc.), NOMA will use reasonable endeavours to offer a credit or transfer to another trip. Refunds in these circumstances are not guaranteed and will depend on what NOMA is able to recover from suppliers, or not.

1.7 A Note on Travel Insurance
All NOMA Escapes trip deposits are non-refundable, and our cancellation policy for all payments made is strict; travel insurance is therefore essential. Please ensure your policy covers cancellation, medical emergencies, and travel disruption before/at the time of booking any NOMA trip.

PART 2: UK EVENTS

2.1 Participant Cancellation
All event tickets for UK events are non-refundable and non-transferable from the point of purchase, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

2.2 No-Shows
If you do not attend an event, no refund or credit will be issued. Where possible, please inform NOMA in advance if you cannot attend — while we cannot refund your ticket, this gives us the opportunity to offer your space to someone on the waitlist.

2.3 NOMA Cancellation of an Event
If NOMA Escapes must cancel an event (e.g., due to venue issues, insufficient bookings, or force majeure), participants will be offered:
A full refund of the ticket price (excluding any Organiser Fee if applicable); or
A credit toward a future NOMA event of equivalent value

PART 3: MEMBERSHIP OF NOMA APP

3.1 Non-Refundable Payments
All NOMA membership payments are managed by Mighty Networks (our app provider) and are strictly non-refundable in the event of cancellation, including:
Monthly memberships cancelled before the end of the billing period
Annual memberships — no pro-rata refund is available if you cancel before the end of your 12‑month period, or if you choose to upgrade or downgrade your membership to another plan
Lifetime or travel only memberships

3.2 Cancellation
You may cancel your app membership at any time through your “account” inside the NOMA App, provided by Mighty Networks. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Access will cease at that point. You may reinstate your membership at any time. 

3.3 Termination by NOMA
NOMA reserves the right to terminate any membership immediately and without refund if community guidelines are breached.
