How Do We Get to Switzerland?
Flights are not included, so you can choose whichever airline and route which suit you best. You are responsible for booking your own flights.

Our trip starts and ends at Geneva International Airport (GVA). Your trip NOMA host will be flying from Edinburgh on EasyJet — we strongly advise booking directly on easyjet.com rather than 3rd party sites. Full flight details are found inside the booking link in the app.

What will the weather be like in December?
Switzerland in December is crisp and cold, with temperatures around 0–8°C (32–43°F). Winter layers are essential (warm jacket, hat, scarf, gloves).

What currency is used in Switzerland?
The currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). Cards are accepted almost everywhere, but bringing a small mix of card & cash is recommended.

How will we get around in Geneva?
Your airport bus transfers (25-30 mins) are included in your trip price. Your host Caitlin will purchase these tickets on the day. All activities within the city are central or covered by our included sightseeing bus/train.

What is the food like? I have dietary requirements.
Swiss food is famous for fondue, raclette, and treats at the Christmas markets! There are also plenty of standard European café options. If you have any severe allergies, please let us know beforehand.

What language is spoken?
The main language in Geneva is French, though English is widely spoken in tourist spots and market stalls.

IS Switzerland safe for tourists?
Yes, Switzerland is considered very safe with low crime rates. Travelling with a group and a dedicated host adds an extra layer of comfort and safety.

What should I pack for a day trip?
Pack light! Just a small day bag with your essentials, warm winter wear, comfortable walking shoes, and a power bank for your phone.

I’m nervous about travelling solo — help!
This trip is designed specifically for solo female travellers to experience Switzerland without being alone! There will be up to 13 other amazing women plus your host Caitlin. We set up a private group chat before departure so you can meet everyone ahead of time!

How much is the trip?
£125 total. You can secure your spot with a deposit or full payment inside the NOMA app.

Do I need a visa?
UK passport holders do not currently require a visa for short visits to Switzerland (subject to passport validity rules). Please check official government advice if holding a non-UK passport.
