What is the food like in Switzerland?

I have dietary requirements.
Switzerland's cuisine is a delightful blend of German, French, and Italian culinary traditions, offering a rich tapestry of dishes from hearty cheese fondue and raclette to crispy rösti. Known for its farm-to-table approach and high-quality ingredients, Swiss food is a true embodiment of Switzerland’s natural abundance and historical influences. Some places we eat will be very much similar to what you find in UK restaurants/cafes also.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know before we go.

What language is spoken in Switzerland?
French, German & Italian are spoken in Switzerland. In Geneva the main spoken language is French. All our tours have been booked in English.

Is Switzerland safe for tourists?
Switzerland is generally considered by the UK Government as very safe, with a low incidence of violent crimes. As with any city, remain aware of your surroundings and keep valuables secure. Travelling as a group and a dedicated NOMA host adds an extra level of comfort and safety. All travel is done in line with FCO advice.

What should I pack?

Around 30 days before departure, we’ll open a group chat and share a full suggested packing list.

What plugs do they use in Switzerland?

Switzerland uses Type J sockets.

Is there a dress code?
No strict dress code. Comfortable & WARM!

I’m nervous about travelling solo — help!
This trip is designed for solo travellers to travel solo, without being alone! There will be 11/12 other girls and your host!
We’ll set up a group chat approx. one month before departure, plus an optional Zoom call, so you can meet the other girls and start building connections. By the time we fly, it will feel like travelling with friends.

Am I sharing a room?
The price is based on twin-sharing. For this trip, you will share a room but will have your own bed (twin beds) unless you have arranged otherwise. Two women will share each room.

A Roommate Questionnaire will help us match you with someone compatible & allocate the rooms appropriately.

If you prefer a single room, a limited number may be available at an extra cost — please contact us before booking to confirm availability.

UK passport holders do not currently require a visa for travelling to Switzerland. Please read the "Important Information" Section of the booking itinerary link when it goes live for more information.

Yes. However, our Geneva trip involves walking, use of public transport, and some activities/venues that may not be fully accessible. Please contact us before booking so we can ensure the trip is suitable and check any adjustments that may be possible.

Yes. It’s your trip, and there is built-in free time as well.
