WHAT WE'RE DOING

This October, we’re slowing things down and getting a little crafty… NOMA style. ✨

If you love crafty workshops, or just love all things autumn, or maybe you just like trying new things with likeminded girls… this is for you!! 

We’re hosting a Lino Printing Workshop — think of it as crafty carving meets stamp-making.

You’ll design and carve your own autumn or Halloween-inspired pattern (pumpkins, leaves, moons, cats… whatever vibe you choose!) and then print it onto paper to create your own unique artwork.

No experience needed — it’s all about having fun, trying something different, and letting your creative side out.

It’s a cosy girls-only evening with relaxed vibes, light snacks, optional BYOB, and the chance to meet 10 like-minded girls. You’ll leave with your own handmade print to take home — the perfect seasonal keepsake (or a cute gift!).

What is Lino printing you ask? How does the workshop look? We’ve broken it down here (don’t worry, you do not need any experience, you’ll be guided throughout the process) 

It’s a bit like creating your own handmade stamp – but far more creative! You can print your design multiple times, and each print will have its own one-of-a-kind character.

✨ Here’s what we’ll do in the class:

1️⃣ Choose Your Design – Pick from autumn-themed templates (pumpkins, falling leaves, acorns, woodland animals) – or sketch your own if you’re feeling adventurous.

2️⃣ Carving Your Block – Learn how to use lino cutting tools safely to carve away the areas you don’t want to print.

3️⃣ Inking Up – Use rollers (brayers) to spread out rich printing inks and coat your lino block evenly.

4️⃣ The Printing Press – Try the magic of the press or hand-burnishing to transfer your design.

5️⃣ The Big Reveal – Peel back the paper to uncover your first print – the most exciting moment!

6️⃣ Make Multiples – Print your design again and again; no two prints will ever be exactly the same.

7️⃣ Take It All Home – Leave with your finished autumn prints and your lino block to reprint on cards, notebooks, fabrics, or tote bags in the future.
