WHERE WE'RE GOING
203–205 Firhill Road, Glasgow
Bon Vivant is an award-winning, stylish, and luxurious salon. Often referred to as a hidden gem, the boutique salon is just under 3 miles from Glasgow Central Station.
This female-owned, Instagrammable space offers a welcoming atmosphere, with a friendly team providing a diverse range of beauty and hair treatments.
The venue is easily accessible by car (free on-street parking available) or by public transport from Glasgow city centre.
A group chat will be set up approx. 1 week before the event to coordinate taxis/car sharing to the venue.
WHAT WE'RE DOING
In collaboration with Bon Vivant Salon and Aurum Hair Co, we’re bringing you the ultimate girls’ night — a hands-on, festive hair styling workshop where you’ll learn two gorgeous, salon-worthy looks you can recreate at home.
Ever wondered how girls get those amazing bouncy blow-dries without going to the salon? Or wished you could curl your hair with straighteners? Well, put down those YouTube tutorials — we’ve got you covered.
You’ll be greeted with a glass of Prosecco or Nosecco before watching live demos of two hairstyles:
1️⃣ Curling your hair with straighteners
2️⃣ Easy DIY Bouncy Blow Dry
Then it’s your turn!
You’ll get to practice the techniques yourself in a relaxed environment — using salon approved straighteners and The AirHead, the ultimate blow dry hack. It is a blow dry brush with detachable leave-in rollers designed to add volume & bounce — with plenty of support from the Bon Vivant stylists and the Aurum Hair Co team.
You’ll also hear insider tips, tricks, and the chance to ask the pros all your burning hair questions.
It’s not just a chance to learn the secrets to your future 10/10 hair days — it’s also an amazing opportunity to meet new friends! All NOMA events attract solo girls who are looking to try new things, make new connections, and step outside their comfort zone.
With the option to BYOB, you’re welcome to bring along light refreshments — and if you’re feeling festive, you can even head out for a cocktail afterwards with your new friends (totally optional, but it is December after all 🎄).
Each event has a dedicated NOMA host, who will invite you into a group chat around one week before the event so you can meet the other girls (yay for making solo plans less scary!), plan outfits, and organise travel or post-event drinks together.
