WHERE WE'RE MEETING
near Stirling

Parking here is free, but it can get busy on good weather days — so please arrive in good time & car share with the girls in the group chat if possible.
We’ll be meeting at 10:15am sharp for a 10:30am walk start.
Afterwards, we’ll head (optional) into Bridge of Allan/Stirling for food, coffee, or cake. Totally up to you!
A group chat will be set up around 7 days before the event for you to say hello and plan car sharing if you wish. Keep an eye on your inbox (and junk mail) for your invite!
WHAT WE'RE DOING
We’re hiking Dumyat Hill, one of the most popular beginner-friendly climbs in Scotland. At just 418m, it’s the smallest of the Ochil Hills — but don’t let that fool you, the views are absolutely stunning.
From the top, expect sweeping views over Stirling, the Wallace Monument, Fife, Perthshire, and the Lothians — all the way to the bigger Scottish hills beyond.
We’ll be taking the Pendreich forest path — a steady, scenic route that passes two summits (Castle Law & Dumyat) before reaching the beacon cairn at the top.
WHAT TO EXPECT
🥾 Distance: Approx. 6 km (round trip)
⛰️ Height: 418 metres (1,371 feet)
⏱️ Duration: Around 2 hours (depending on pace & fitness)
💪 Difficulty: Beginner-friendly, steady climb with a few steeper sections
🪨 Good hill path all the way — but can be muddy/slippy after rain
📸 Memorial cairn & beacon at the summit with panoramic views
This is a slow-paced, supportive group walk — not a race. We’ll take lots of breaks, enjoy the views, and support each other to the top, all fitness levels welcome 💖

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
👟 Wear suitable footwear with good grip — the path can be muddy or slippy
🧥 Bring layers — Scottish weather loves a surprise
💧 Bring water and any snacks you might want
🚻 No toilet or refreshment facilities at the car park or on the walk route — come prepared & use facilities in the nearby Bridge of Allan village
☔ In the event of bad weather, the walk may be cancelled or changed at the host’s discretion
